Longxing Hinges is the export name of Taizhou Longxing Eyeglasses Parts Factory (龙兴眼镜配件厂), a family-run hinge workshop in Taizhou, Zhejiang, China. Taizhou is the center of China's eyewear manufacturing belt — the region that produces a large share of the world's frames and most of their parts. Our factory does one thing inside that ecosystem: metal hinges, made to order.

One machine cuts. After that, it's hands.

We build hinges the traditional Taizhou way. A cutting machine makes the first cut from raw stock; everything after that is people and bench machines working together — forming the barrels, drilling and tapping, fitting and finishing. Nothing leaves the floor untouched by hands. That is slower to industrialize than casting or CNC lines, and it is exactly why "custom" is a small word here: if a hinge can be built by hand, we can build it — odd footprints, small runs, revived vintage patterns. Where a design genuinely needs a die, we have mold shops we trust to cut one.

A lifetime in the trade, twelve years on our own floor

The founder started in eyewear parts at sixteen, working other people's benches before opening this factory in 2014. Twelve years later it is still family-run, still on the same trade he has worked his entire life: hinges. That kind of tenure shows up in the boring ways that matter to a buyer — quoting a spec by eye, knowing which alloy will solder cleanly, catching a bad batch before it ships.

Because we are the factory — not a trading company — questions about tolerances, plating or tooling are answered by the people running the machines, and the pricing has no middle layer in it. That is the honest reason our quotes surprise buyers used to European parts pricing: same alloys, same specs, Taizhou cost structure.

Materials: copper alloys to β-titanium

Raw stock comes in from dedicated material mills — we machine it, we don't smelt it — so the grade on the certificate is the grade in the hinge. And it comes in against your order: price and spec are agreed first, then the material arrives and machining starts. That's why our lead time is simply "as soon as it's made." Copper alloys (nickel silver, brass) are the everyday workhorse across budget and mid-range lines. Pure titanium and β-titanium cover the premium end: lighter parts, hypoallergenic skin contact, and the spring-back that β-titanium is prized for. If your frame line specifies the alloy, we quote to it; if it doesn't, we'll recommend one against your price tier.

How we work with overseas buyers

  • Spec-first quoting. Every quote is written against dimensions — yours, or the ones we measure from your photos. No "universal fit" hand-waving.
  • Program pricing. Long-term and repeat orders get our best rates — quantities are negotiable, and the price improves with commitment. One-off short runs are welcome too; they're simply quoted higher, and we'll say so upfront.
  • Samples before volume. Physical samples with a dimension sheet ship before any bulk run. You verify fit on the real frame, then commit.
  • Evidence with every shipment. Dimension checks and pre-ship photos on request, so your QC starts before the parcel does.
  • English, in writing. Email is our native channel — specs, quotes and confirmations all live in writing where both sides can check them.

What we don't do

We don't sell finished frames, we don't broker other factories' parts, and we don't quote specs we can't hold. Our floor is bench-built, not CNC — so highly complex machined designs that need CNC work are outside our range, and we'll tell you that in the first reply instead of reselling someone else's part. A parts supplier is only useful if you can trust its yes.
